Yes.

A custom, padded soft case is provided with the purchase of the DexStand. The case offers a robust zipper, carry handles and backpack straps. The soft case will stand when loaded with feet and footboxes at bottom of the case.

Each foot has 4" of threaded rod in the leg. For safety, you can use 3-3.5" of that thread to gain height or accommodate for uneven surfaces or slopes. You MUST tighten the Star Knob to LOCK and stabilize the leg.

If you work in environments where the staging or other structures are covered with skirting, a DexStand Custom Sewn Skirt will give you a professional look and not draw unwanted attention to your setup.

The DexStand Custom Sewn Skirt is constructed with 2" hook and loop closures. The skirt can be entirely taken apart -or- by simply loosening the areas near the footboxes you can slip the skirt off intact and it's ready to quickly reattach for the next use.

We recommend leaving it attached all the time. This also protects the powder coated DexStand from abrasions. Imagine opening your soft case, picking up your DexStand fully dressed with the skirt, and seconds after setting the lower safety pins, your DexStand is ready to attach your tripod.

No more using gaffer tape or clamps to hold together a generic piece of skirting.

The DexStand Custom Skirt was designed to minimize the look of the DexStand. However, some equipment or bags might be hidden under the skirt allowing for quick access to your most important gear.

Cable Management:

The hook and loop design makes cable placement along the tripod legs easy and is a clean look. Open the hook and loop wherever you need access.

Short answer... You can't prevent it. People don't watch where they are going. This is why the Lower Safety Pins must be in the locking holes whenever you use the DexStand.

2 visibility solutions for either a DexStand or DexStand with skirt:

1) Add a fluorescent colored streamer or tape to the most exposed leg(s). Avoid adding tape directly to the powder coated finish -or- to the skirt surface. Pin it on or use a minimum of tape to attach.

2) Use a C shaped piece of hollow Pool Noodle. Surprisingly a small 1-2" piece may be all you need to slip over the skirt/leg to achieve the need visibility. You can also use up to a 15" section.

The pool noodles can be stored beneath the skirt on the legs or center column when not in use.

You can adjust the DexStand to approximately a 5 degree slope.

Screw the rear foot or feet IN all the way to set at Zero.

Screw OUT the front threaded foot or feet to up to 3.5". (Be careful. There is only 4" of thread. You need at least 1/2" for stability)

Unscrew center column foot to touch the floor.

LOCK ALL STAR KNOBS to stabilize the DexStand.

Yes. The DexStand on wheels can add great mobility and flexibility to your project. Move from place to place quickly, add movement to your shot, raise or lower the height quickly. 

As always, be careful as your center of gravity changes with height.

You can use 3/8-16 threaded stem wheels to put the DexStand in Dolly mode. *You MUST have the lower safety pins engaged place or the movement will break the upper auto locking pins and collapse the DexStand.*

2, 3, or 4" TOTAL LOCK style wheels are recommended depending on the surfaces. 

DexStand LLC does not sell these wheels as they are readily available online.

The threaded 3/8-16" hole in the center column is for your customization needs.

Add a threaded eye bolt as an anchor point for a tie down for your tripod or a place to secure cables.

Create a table surface by using your choice of material with a hole in the middle and a bolt or eye bolt to hold batteries, audio mixer, etc. at your feet.

The DexStand has been used for an overhead view of a table top presentation while a lower tripod was nested inside the DexStand footprint for a lower head-on view. This was a quick and easy positioning solution for the client.
